I'm trying to get a personal loan to pay off a high interest rate credit card. I'm trying to get this loan from my bank where I've had an account for several years now. Yes, most of the credit reports have missing information, I grant that, but I've provided whatever information they've requested to show that I'm gainfully employed and have lived where I'm living for a long time. I have a good credit score. All payments have been made on time for a minimum of 6 years. I'm offering to give them free money in the form of interest. I'll be getting a car loan and a replacement credit card soon. If they're nice, perhaps from them. What do they say?
You haven't lived at your home long enough
9 years isn't enough?
You haven't worked at your job for 3 years.
I'm self employed as a contractor. I don't work anywhere that long! But all my bills have been paid on time for 6 years, get the hint? You have may last 2 tax returns, that should show my income is steady.
You are taking out too much money when you have a credit card with a large debt.
That's why I'm taking the loan! To pay that off and cancel the card!
You aren't taking out the full amount of the card debt, so you aren't taking out enough money.
I was going to pay part out of my own pocket, this is a problem? Make up your mind!
I think I'm going to try another bank.
