I believe I may have missed a preview on Saturday, but I'll take that 'cause I also missed all the commercials. The two previews I did see were... unusual.
The first was a preview for The Texas Chainsaw Massacre. What's that you say? This isn't 1977? That's right folks, yet another crappy remake. This one called "The beginning" or some such. Yet it doesn't seem like it is going to explore how this creepy family started slaughtering outsiders, it is just a rehash of the original movie, at least that's what it seems from the preview. I'll take a movie like Snakes on a Plane over yet another remake any day of the week.
The second preview made me think of head58. Apparently there's going to be a Tenacious D movie. This at least looked amusing. Also scarier than the Chainsaw remake. I may see this, but then I couldn't even drag myself to the theatre for Superman.
One last thing about Snakes on a Plane. I really thing the only thing I'd have added to the movie would be to have had Karen Black as one of the Stewardesses as a fun in joke. Other than that, the movie provided exactly what I expected, plus a little more gore. Watching Samuel Jackson on the Daily Show was plenty of justificaiton for the movie.
Sunday, though I didn't go to a movie, I did go to Mitsuwa with aidosaur and some of her friends. It was lots of fun, I got Coffee Boss for hagbardc and some dishes for inochinoakari. I picked up a bunch of frozen food and Inochinoakari and I will be going there next week for some regualr shopping.
I also got 3 cds, 2 by Puffy and 1 by Snail Ramp. Sadly, they came to over $80. If they weren't so expensive, I'd have bought some others that looked like fun, but not at $36 a pop.
Oh, and I found a present for Pete that I'll give him next time I see him.
