I never updated about our lovely trip to VA. As garrity has covered most of the salient points, I shall simply add some experiences I had without her around.

On the trip down, we ate at a BBQ place that hagbardc and I discovered around 10 years ago near Hunt Valley. It was still good, but the menu had changed a bit.

We loved meeting their local friends and hope to hang out with them and the Prussian Army again soon. inochinakari will get along quite well with the female of the two.

Playing Apples to Apples was quite enjoyable.

I'm so happy the WildWoman liked the gifts we got her.

SuperJoe can cook up a storm and make it taste wonderful. I even ate something that sounded like I wouldn't like it and enjoyed it throroughly. Makes me want to drive down and build them an outdoor Tandoori oven.

And, as usual, Garrity was a consumate hostess even in her encumbered state. Never content to stay put for a minute when she could be cleaning/unpacking/summoning/directing, it was all we could do as a group to get her to stay still for 20 minutes. I think I speak for the group when I say we love her dearly and are more than willing to see the whirlwind re-emerge once she has spawned.

We left late Sunday night and arrived home at 6 AM Monday morning. It took me the better part of the week to get used to my sleep schedule again.
