The CS person asked for verification information since I wasn't calling from the number in question. I was already annoyed by the voice only menu system that had gotten me that far and when he told me that the only verification they accepted was a code on my bill or the amount I last paid, I said "wow, you guys suck."
His response? "No, you do."
I said "What did you say?"
He started explaining how he could only accept certain information as confirmation.
I said "Let me speak to your supervisor"
He said "OK, sure", in a snide voice and hung up on me.
I'm hoping they discipline or even fire this ass. He shouldn't be doing that job if he can't deal with a mildly annoyed customer.
