There had been something in a Star Trek universe moments before, but at this point I was learning how to repair Russian trains, Soviet trains really. The thing was, It was a fairly Dr. Seuss looking train and I had to attach a wooden spar to connect two ends of a hinged arm that helped turn the wheels. And I had to do it while the train was moving.
One of the Russians teaching/hazing me was driving the train as I was dragged along, trying to affix the screws with a power drill. As I worked, he sang a bawdy song (I was expected to learn it) involving screws. When he reached the word "Screw", he'd switch to Spanish and start the whole song all over again. I managed to finish before he got to that word again and he said "Don't worry, you'll be doing this many times. There'll be plenty of time to go through all the languages." So I not only had to learn how to fix/build trains, I had to learn it in every language in the form of racy songs.
