G. W. Bush has presenile dementia

Dr. Joseph Price has studied Bush's malpropisms and confabulations and when he combines these speaking errors with his earlier lucidity in debates (i.e. vs. Ann Richardson in 1994) he has realized Bush is suffering from the early stages of Alzheimers. He will have a letter concerning this published in the Atlantic in October.

Price calls presenile dementia 'a fairly typical Alzheimer's situation that develops significantly earlier in life. . . . President Bush's 'mangled' words are a demonstration of what physicians call `confabulation' and are almost specific to the diagnosis of a true dementia.
