Scooperbowl Thursday

Yesterday emilytheslayer and I went over to the Scooperbowl at around 6. We went to meet some of her friends and to eat a bunch of ice cream. For those of you who don't know, the Scooperbowl is an all-you-can-eat ice cream charity event with proceeds going to cancer research. It was $8 to get in.

We were lucky in that it didn't rain. Most of the ice cream suppliers there were just the big supermarket brands: Bryers, Edys, Ben & Jerry's with Baskin Robbins and Brighams as well. I'm surprised Frendly's wasn't there. Strangely, I didn't eat ALL THE ICE CREAM I COULD EAT. And it was the fault of the one supplier there that wasn't a big company.

I had a few flavors from a few different booths and the ice cream was yummy, but about what I expected. Then I got some Lemon Sorbet from a place called Spasso. It was great. I went back to get more, but they were all out. It totally ruined me on any other ice cream that day. There was nothing else that seemed appetizing after that. Sadness.

Their menu looks great though, sandwiches and such, and they're right in Needham Center. I fully intend to go there. Heck, if we just want dessert there, we could go to the Hibatchi place also in Needham Center first.
