Random Morning

I had an odd dream last night. I ran into a woman I used to date that I hadn't seen in years. She was working as a teacher in a Wal Mart that had gone out of business and had been refurbished as a school. She had a kid who was around 10 and upon further inquiry, it turned out I was the dad. I ended up getting back together with this woman, but It didn't progress far before I woke up. No hints of marriage and whatnot, just lots of sex. The relationship with the kid was funny. It went from barely knowing how to speak to the kid in one "scene" to "People, let me tell ya 'bout my best friend" in the next.

I started thinking about it and realized that if the last woman I was with that had had a "pregnancy scare" had been pregnant, the kid would be 16 this year. If it'd been the last woman I'd been with before my Pon Faar, the kid'd be 11.

Which led me to realize that teens today can look back on the music I grew up with, 80s music that is, the same way I looked at music from the 60s when I was a teen! Damn hippies. Impossibly old Rock music. I wonder how they look at rock from the 60s or 50s? Do they even consier the 50s Rock? For me, music that old was a different genre, it was swing.

Also, I noticed one of those stupid "support our troops" ribbon stickers on a car on the way in. Why is it a directive instead of a declarative? Someone else had asked this recently and it is a good question.
